“As long as greed is stronger than compassion, there will always be suffering”
Like you, and countless other people around the world, I am disturbed and dismayed by so much wrong doings and sheer greed by those who have much, and still try to grab (steal) even more from those who are in need most. I call them the FAT CATS: Bosses who earn a fortune but do not look after their staff, the community and the environment. National and international companies that treat tax laws as an optional extra, wanting an educated/skilled labour force, but not wishing to contribute to the education budget. Directors who take out massive dividends while knowing that the company pension is about to go bust. These are only a very few examples from a very large list of unethical, immoral, unlawful and hugely mean-spirited behaviour by the FAT CATS all over this moral-free and values-less world; inflicting so much suffering and pain on others, and paradoxically, on themselves too.
I wanted to say something, to vent my anger and frustration with these individuals. After some reflection, I thought it is best if I invite them to a heart-to-heart dialogue, to see, if we can come together in the interest of the common good, and explore the possibility of seeing if it is possible to do well by doing good.
